A packed class at PowerHouse Fitness

The story

Word of mouth, then a Google listing.

This is the first website. The room, the phone number and the class windows are not new.

You could find this studio without a website: through a friend, a Google search, or the sound of the music coming out onto North Broadway. The listing is still the best record of the place — 4.4 stars across 36 reviews, and hundreds of photos uploaded by the people in the room.

This site is new. The class windows are the same ones the studio publishes, the phone number rings the same phone, and the room is still on Broadway in Escondido. Nothing here replaces walking in; it just makes the first walk easier.

What members say

What the room is like.

These are the themes across the Google reviews, not quotes. They are the clearest description of the place we have.

01

Hype is the point

Members describe women empowering each other and hyping each other up. It is not a quiet room. The person next to you wants you to finish the song.

02

Welcoming, still challenging

The reviews say non-judgemental and challenging in the same breath. All levels means all levels: a first class and a regular share the floor.

03

Never the same hour twice

Always something different, never boring. The class mix and the music change; the energy in the room is the constant.

The space

The floor

A group-fitness room set up for dance cardio and stations. The photos show step platforms, BOSU trainers, kettlebells and mats — the equipment the classes actually use. There is space to spread out and a sound system doing the rest.

A note on instructors

No instructor bios are published here. The people who teach are the ones you meet in the room — call the studio and ask who teaches the window you are considering.
